You all know of my obsession with Belle Norte and I had my heart set on a big slice of their one of a kind pepperoni pizza today for lunch HOWEVER there was little to no parking in the strip and we settled for pizza at Piccolo Forno in the Antique District of Lawrenceville. The bistro offers a menu of home made wood fired pizzas, salads with greek olives and gorgonzola cheese and panninis.
The atmosphere is absolutely relaxing and fresh. The walls are brick and there is ample lighting both from the large windows up front and the art deco lamps. It is a byob place, which I find intriguing. I can just picture myself sitting there for hours in the evening with a good book and bottle of red or with friends and some champagne! My favorite part of Piccolo Forno was the Tiarmasu I ordered to go! MMMMM! Check it out if you get a chance, its another great place Pittsburgh has to offer.
